Some incredible photos from Coventry and Heathrow there, I have to say I didn't realise such a spotting package was available. I am very intrigued, was it worth paying for in terms of value for money?
Most definitely yes. DM me if you want more details - might be this evening before I can reply as I'll be shutting down in a few minutes. Some incredible photos from Coventry and Heathrow there, I have to say I didn't realise such a spotting package was available. If you're thinking of doing the same, you'll ideally want to aim at May, June or July to maximise daylight hours and also avoid having the sun interfere with photos as the rooms are south facing. Take a laptop with you so you can have Flight Radar 24 running so you can prepare for your best photo targets.
Some lovely pictures Peter, it looks like it was such a lovely day as well. Just a quick question about Epsom to London: If you are going to London (doesn't matter about where), is it more convenient to go via Waterloo or Victoria?13/08/22:
Something a bit different this time; my wife had sold her late stepfather's saxophone to a dealer in Worthing, and there was no way we would entrust that to a courier, so we took it to him ourselves. It gave us the excuse to walk along the front at Worthing afterwards, of course.
The first train was 377 702 from Epsom to Victoria, then we had 377 137 + 377 414 for the rest of the way; I was able to grab a picture of blue and grey 313 201 at Hove and a perfectly positioned light aircraft at Shoreham airport, which is right next to the line. We ended up on the same pair of 377s for the way back but we bailed out at East Croydon and positioned ourselves on 377 612 to get to Thornton Heath to do some food shopping, after which we used 377 203 + 377 205 to get to Victoria and boarded 377 446 to return to Epsom.
The aircraft in that last picture below is G-EZDX, snapped from on board the 377s at Gatwick.
