Yes, although they may not be a true representation of your internet speed as the test is subject to bottlenecks on the internet.

We were on Pipex, which has recently been bought out by Tiscali. Yuck. Terrible service.
From experience, who do you find to be the best ISP in terms of speed/service. Also, download limits are bad.

On the left box is the down load speed. Every thousand counts for a mb. So, a download speed of 9000 = 9mb.

On the right is the upload speed, same theory as above but usually in the hundreds.

Don't get a package with a limit then.

AOL's uptime was pretty good. One of the best IMO. But they said they would upgrade us to 2mb, over 2 years that didn't happen though . Ah well, now I'm on 10mb.

No, we don't intend to get a package with a limit. But some ISPs don't offer packages without limits.

Our neighbours are on AOL and when I've stolen their wireless (hah!) it's been really, really awful. I've heard nothing but bad things about AOL.

What do you expect when you're stealing it? I had AOL for a good few years and apart from not upgrading us it was very good.

I realise that. But does that mean you can download 9mb of information a second or what?
