the yellow and black sections don’t aligne with the windows, would prefer if the yellow went up to the base of the windows, at least on the front.

But that is not the design of the ScotRail livery, nor the original InterCity livery which ScotRail was based on with the red bodyside stripe being replaced with a blue one. Personally I much prefer the dark grey (not black) bisecting the headcode / marker light panel but each to their own.

There are certainly more tours planned featuring 47712 and the DBSO set with the next one potentially being a trip to Carlisle to celebrate ten years of 47712 in preservation. Nothing more planned featuring any other traction as yet, as far as I know.

My first ever multiple day tour and I loved every second of it. LSL and Intercity put on a 10/10 show in every aspect of the tour - from the look of the set, to the comfort and cleanliness of the coaching stock, to the amazing on board staff who all worked their (insert word of choice here) off for 3 days solid and of course the fantastic performance of the 47. They even managed to produce hot food from what can only be described as a cupboard in the buffet car - not sure anyone was actually expecting that, I certainly wasn't!
There is literally nothing they could have done to make the tour better than the experience all on board had for all 3 days.
In terms of the comments about numbers on board, particularly during the Edinburgh-Glasgow push pull workings on day 2, there was a lot of people who decided to disembark after the 1st run and spend nigh on 3 hours in Glasgow before re-joining for the final departure from Glasgow so the service was lighter loaded for the 2 middle workings.
And as for the lack of Intercity tours being advertised, based on conversations on board, I'd expect there to be more than just further 47/DBSO workings but they will all be announced on an ad-hoc basis instead of any schedule being created. Safe to say that Mr Hosking and LSL haven't taken the criticism they received, particularly for the Deltic tour, too well and I'd guess they don't want to pre-advertise and leave themselves facing criticism again. It's a shame really, as everyone in my carriage on the Deltic tour was full of praise for LSL having got a Deltic onto the mainline (there weren't many who managed that feat in 2022) irrelevant of the "authenticity" surrounding number of operational engines - I guess it shows that the moaning minority do make the louder noise unfortunately.
Here's hoping there are more IC tours as my 2 experiences with them have been superb!

On another note, for anyone on the tour, what mileage did you log for the Inverness to Queen Street run and the Edinburgh to Crewe run on the Sunday?

Note that the .58 is 58 chains so mileage is 262.725.
My first time doing a railtour in GB. Great show all round. Friday was a nice entrée, plenty of time to see a bit of Edinburgh off the train too.
(our experience was an inverse to the old trope of English gricers getting the ferry to Ireland for a railtour!).
Atmosphere seemed great all round, I don't think I heard a single complaint.

Ah they've not really given enough notice for me to be able to make it 
I have to be fair if I lived a bit nearer this would be a no brain decision to book, superb stuff, going to the EVR/Peak rail do on the Saturday but I can't justify the hotel

Does the return time allow you to get an onward connection from Crewe to closer to where you live?

No not really,I've got to get back to Somerset, then as I say got to get to Matlock sat morning, don't feel like springing for a hotel,you really have to watch those penny's at the minute

With Crewe there are a few places which only pop up when you input a 2 night stay, some are Air BnB style shared houses. First train from Crewe towards Derby is at 06;08 (arriving into Derby at 07;20, with an unofficial connection onto a Matlock train at 07:24). Although the 07;09 from Crewe gives a better connection into the 08;33 to Matlock.
