I have one Platform and am a terminus, though this wasnt always the case.
I have a fairly big tourist attraction near to me.

This is dependent on your definition of "fairly big tourist attraction", but St Albans Abbey? With the abbey being itself the likely attraction?

No to Newcraighall, and no to St albans Abbey, this tourist attraction is a lot bigger than that.

And try to add the tourist attraction with your guess

Maybe too easy:

This town originally had 3 stations, all of which had closed by the 1960s. One reopened in the 1990s
There was an interestingly named small trades union in the area that never had a strike
What is the present and past name of the current station and what industry did the union serve?

edit

Obviously not that easy.

There is a 19th century literary connection with the past name of this station

Mansfield?

The Robin Hood line was re-opened in stages between 1993-1998.

The literary connection could be the Jane Austen novel - Mansfield Park.

Was the union connected with the Mansfield Brewery?

OK, if not Mansfield, could it be Newstead?

Newstead originally had the Midland, the Great Northern and the Great Central lines passing through it.
It was reopened in the 1990's along with the Robin Hood Line.
It's literary connection is that the nearby Newstead Abbey was the ancestral home of Lord Byron.

Don't know what the Trades Union was, though.

Not Mansfield or Newstead but very very close. Almost there with the literary connection - the wrong way round maybe.

OK, lets's try
Bulwell

original stations of Bulwell Forest, Bulwell Common and Bullwell.
Bullwell re-opened as part of Robin Hood Line in the 1990s.
Famous actress Debra Juett born in Bullwell in 1890s.
Star of the film "The Last Bohemian"

Trade Union could be to do with frame-knitters/lace stocking manufacturers.

Not Bulwell.

The literary connection has already been mentioned but not in the context I had in mind

The industry (frame knitting) is right, the area is right.

Not Nottingham itself, is it?

Victoria, Midland & Arkwright St stations.

Frame-knitters

Literary connection being Robin Hood [Maid Marion Way]

Hucknall is what I was after.

The Midland station (now called just Hucknall) was once called Hucknall Byron. The GC and GN also had stations

The TU is the United Wool Shawl, Fall and Antimacassar Trade Union of Hucknall Torkard and District - frame knitters

Considering a move to Memphis
This terminal station was recently had a third platform added. It is served by two TOCs on a frequent basis (1 or more TPH) and another less regularly. A 4th TOC stopped running here a few years ago.

I'm managed by Northern Rail.
The town with which I share a name was served by two other stations which closed in 1964.
Who am I, and, for a bonus point, what were the names of the closed stations?
