Here's the revised 'clue':
This station sees trains heading as far afield as the sunny South of England (not the coast) and the North-East of England, but they don't stop there.
It has just two platforms, which have a two trains per hour service in both directions.
The station has 'moved' in its past, once, which then resulted in the closure of the stations either side of it which it replaced.
It used to have three platforms - the third used until the 1970s but since disused. There used to be a triangle junction to one side of the station.
