I noticed today that northern ex-LM 150226 has one central and one NWM livered carridge. How many are like this? Is 150226 or any other ex-LM 150 due for repaint anytime soon?

This would be because each coach was part of a different 150/0 unit in LM-land presumably (I can't recall which units were split for the 150/0s).

Rail says the majority WILL be repainted although some will only be painted from the window down which I find odd. According to RAIL some are not on full time lease?

Since when? This hasn't been mentioned anywhere else either by DfT or Northern. The 150s are supposed to be permanent members of the fleet. I wonder where Rail got this from.

The ex-LM 150s will no doubt receive Northern livery eventually although the paint shop is currently busy with the rolling repainting programme.

Correct, the half and half livery does stem from the days of the 150/2s being split up. I imagine the intention was for all to receive NWM colours but the 172 delivery stopped repaints. All the LM/Central 150/2s were split and inserted into 150/1s, some of the 150/1s carry the number of the former centre car in the cab.

Rail]Those on a full time lease from Eversholt Rail (150110-115/118/119, 150204/206/210/214/220/226) will be treated while 150103/106/117/132, which are not with the operator on a full-time basis, will be painted from the windows down Rail also states 322s will not be repainted but will recieve Northern branding (not that they need repainting). They will be repainted eventually when due for C6 in around two years

All but two: 150214 and 150216 remained as two car units.

As a little but of trivia, there were only three Network West Midlands liveried 3-car hybrid 150s (Plus two 2-car 150/1s, 150126 and 150132); 150003, 150010 and 150018, which has given rise to the "half and half" Central/NWM liveried 150/2 units 150210, 150220 and 150226, as one carriage from each of those units was formed into one each of the NWM liveried hybrid 150/0s.

The NWM livery units have had this livery for the same time as the Centro units and they were painted in NWM to promote Network West Midlands as a deal with Central Trains/London Midland.

They will be repainted in due course they will never keep them like that just hope they will make it up to Newcastle. I can hope. :|
I'd like to see 150s replace the 142s in the North East, but there's not a chance of it happening this side of 2020, until the North West and Transpennine North electrification projects occur, and even then that would be assuming that Transpennine North would see a lot of the local lines radiating out from Wakefield Kirkgate electrified as well, which clearly for the £270 million budget that Network Rail have to play with isn't going to happen.

So in short, it won't happen. The only time you'll see 150s in Newcastle is when they sporadically travel up to Heaton to have work done on them.

I'm sure the 150's are owned by Angel Trains anyway which makes that seem wrong from the start. Also 150106 went to (or is going to) GW anyway! Seems unfounded nonsense if you ask me.

Correct. The 150's do belong to Angel. Rail wrong again.
