I noticed today that northern ex-LM 150226 has one central and one NWM livered carridge. How many are like this? Is 150226 or any other ex-LM 150 due for repaint anytime soon?
According to RAIL some are not on full time lease?
This would be because each coach was part of a different 150/0 unit in LM-land presumably (I can't recall which units were split for the 150/0s).
All but two: 150214 and 150216 remained as two car units. All the LM/Central 150/2s were split and inserted into 150/1s, some of the 150/1s carry the number of the former centre car in the cab.
I'd like to see 150s replace the 142s in the North East, but there's not a chance of it happening this side of 2020, until the North West and Transpennine North electrification projects occur, and even then that would be assuming that Transpennine North would see a lot of the local lines radiating out from Wakefield Kirkgate electrified as well, which clearly for the £270 million budget that Network Rail have to play with isn't going to happen. They will be repainted in due course they will never keep them like that just hope they will make it up to Newcastle. I can hope.![]()
Rail]Those on a full time lease from Eversholt Rail (150110-115/118/119, 150204/206/210/214/220/226) will be treated while 150103/106/117/132, which are not with the operator on a full-time basis, will be painted from the windows down Rail also states 322s will not be repainted but will recieve Northern branding (not that they need repainting). They will be repainted eventually when due for C6 in around two years
I'm sure the 150's are owned by Angel Trains anyway which makes that seem wrong from the start. Also 150106 went to (or is going to) GW anyway! Seems unfounded nonsense if you ask me.
