I had one last night going Pad-Swindon, gives me a return dated three weeks ago, (didn't do a good job of covering up the single Swi-Pad dated that morning)
- "Have you used this ticket before?"
- "No".
- "No problem - are the other three of the group on the train?"
- " Errr..."

there really is no reason to carry around so many unused tickets on your person is there?

I currently have fourteen unused tickets, including seat reservations, on me; all of which I will be using in the next fortnight.

I do try to keep them in the order I'm going to use them in but that's not always easy when I'm struggling through a gateline with two pieces of hand luggage.

The return I shall be using on Thursday is dated four weeks ago (27 May). However it is VALID until 26 June. I have not used it before.

That's the point Clip was trying to make. If you have multiple tickets in hand then surely you would be organised and make sure that you have the ticket you need ready for inspection. If you just pull one out at random, how can you be sure you do not reuse an old ticket accidentally, unless you bin the used ticket promptly every time?

I think what snared him in the end was the fraudulent use of Groupsave. However the single for that day was what prompted the questioning, I think many people would see that is evidence a period return might be being reused.

I have 7 pieces of unused tickets with me, which are two sets of Advances for 2 July (coming up to 5 pieces), a Plusbus for that day, and the collection receipt.
