Do you mean SWR? Those are all their lines, not GWR's. (This is useful knowledge though as I live in the area and am now travelling a bit more in the general directions you quote for work. Am on assignment in Wokingham as we speak.)
Those are GWR routes. North Downs Line.

SWR only run between Reading and Wokingham on the North Downs Line. All services beyond Wokingham (to Guildford, Redhill and Gatwick Airport) are run by GWR.

Yeah. I mean, if I'd stuck my head out of the window beforehand I'd not have made that post! Like the branching points are literally visible from the footbridge at Wokingham (and would have made a nice photo had I thought about it).

And I'm on a GWR train now back to Reading as well.

On topic -- if someone is looking at this thread, can we have a bench on the platform at Wokingham? There's one on the London platform, but not on the Reading one.

I cannot speak generally. I don't think anyone can.

What I can tell you is that specifically for me, on this forum, having read threads in disputes and prosecutions, I have twice intervened in the passengers favour directly with the people who I have contact with who work in the debt recovery and prosecutions department.

So it's not all bad.

It should be noted that these were both cases where the railway was not at fault but then neither was the passenger, however the passenger was in panic mode and unable to rationalise clearly to resolve the issue. Think cases such as leaving railcard at home and instead of presenting later, when asked, instead going into a blind panic.

I am quite sure that I'm not alone in my intervention in cases such as these.

You've just touched on something that I was going to say...

There are lot's of rail staff (and probably also bus staff) on these forums. It doesn't even need to be the appropriate person from the appropriate department reading. Any employee of that company with sufficient interest in the job and the subject, who knows who to contact, could highlight the issue for good or bad.
