I have just looked at the rules again, since a query was being raised about the matter of both the TOC and the fleet type as essential, together with the destination, in an answer. Robinson had also made a posting comment after that query was raised.

In the words of Neville Chamberlain to the deadline set by Britain to Germany in September 1939...."I have received no such reassurance", which effectively leaves the rules to stand as they are written.

Yes - that's why I said using one of the 2 Birmingham-Liverpool's, because only 1 of them calls there!

Proceeding to Manchester Airport on a TPE 185/170 (does it matter?).

Onwards to Warrington Central on an EMT 158 that isn't long enough...

Then onwards to St Helens Junction on a Northern 156, or Northern 150, or Northern 142, or sometimes, a Northern 153 attached to a Northern 156 ;)

It's funny that this 'reigonal' service takes 10mins less than the EMT or TPE services via Warrington :D

Because of the recent problems that have occurred and as a result of PM sent to me on this matter, I have sent a PM to MK Tom to ask:-

A)..If he can make a posting, as quiz master, to clarify whether it is the TOC....or the Unit Class....or even a combination of both....that will be acceptable as an answer.

B)...That the rules as posted in the very first posting be amended to show the answer in (A)above.

This quiz has had over 1,500 postings and it would be a shame if it suddenly came to an abrupt halt.
