This feels like a stupid question that I already know the answer to, but I thought I’d ask anyway.
Is the Heathrow Express an exception to the “not before 10:00am” / “not before 9:30am” railcard rules?
A relative arrived into Heathrow and bought a ticket using the HEX app at 7am, discounted by a Network Railcard. Trainline won’t sell such a ticket at that time of the day, and the Railcards’ policies seem clear that they are not valid at that time.
However on looking at the HEX App and website, no time restrictions are indicated, and they had no problems getting through the barriers at both Heathrow and Paddington.
