Track inspection is patrolling to look for defects in the p-way (track).
Track maintenance will be doing more of the actual maintenance of the p-way—shovelling, packing, changing sleepers, moving rail etc.
There might be some overlap between the two roles.

This is for signalling maintenance, more commonly known as S&T. It will involve looking after the signalling equipment (signals, points, train protection and detection equipment), and are generally also combined fault finding teams. Expect to be taking readings with a multimeter and other test equipment and visual inspections.
