Route control are already in there, think the first work station will be Stafford this weekend.Don't think Rugby has gone live yet.
Thames Valley Signalling Centre: Didcot's area of control gets ever larger.....

Romford has the TRC's of AGA and NR in there, and that is about as far as it goes for the forseeable future.

But... how many working as they were actually designed to do, area / box replacement wise ?
Derby is not far off being as it was intended. But filling the ROCs was always intended to take 20+ years.
Meanwhile Romford will have signalling in it relatively soon.
Not much though, Colchester (colchester) put back minimum 5+ years, Colchester )Ips / Nor) no date now, Cambridge, now off the radar, Broads, if it goes ahead will go to Colchester PSB, Liverpool Street IECC, must admit not sure of the current plan, last we heard, staying put.
I didn't realise it was the first!! Are the Stafford signallers moving to Rugby or will the workstation be operated by different signallers?Route control are already in there, think the first work station will be Stafford this weekend.

Also, sorry for the stupid question, but where is it that the Trent Valley workstations are located at the minute?
The southern end of the Trent valley would be Rugby SCC and the Northern End Stoke SCC.
Ah right, that makes sense. Thanks for the explanation! The answer to your 1st question will be down to the grading of the new workstation, if it's a higher grade than the signalboxes then no, unless they've applied and won promotion. If it's the same grade or lower then that all depends on what the signallers chose to do with their displacement.
The southern end of the Trent valley would be Rugby SCC and the Northern End Stoke SCC, with the fringe point being Armitage.
Whereas now it sounds like Stafford's workstation will have plenty of room (for now, at least!)Depends on how and when we solve Colwich which is close to life expired. I think they decided Stoke would be a bit cramped with Stafford in there.
The Glasgow & Edinburgh ones are Signalling Centres with some shoehorning going on, will run out of space pretty soon
Crossrail stuff going to Romford, no? (as far as Southend I think I read).
Glasgow (WSSC) is referred to as the ROC now. Not sure about Edinburgh though.
There was a rumour that Crossrail were now not going into Romford, but I am not 100% sure that is true, did they not pay half or more towards the building of the place ?
But of course Crossrail is not Network Rail, so will not, or would not affect any NR boxes or staff.
The new Modern Railways has a feature on c2c and says their move from Upminster to Romford has been deferred from Christmas 2015 to October 2016.
Another puzzling article in the latest Modern Railways, Roger Ford is having a go at the Hitachi traffic management contract for Thameslink, suggesting it won't do what is wanted, and will be a bit of a waste of time for the signallers either side of the core at 'London Bridge, West Hampstead and Kings Cross'.
But surely by the time it will be installed, for 2018, it is more likely to be the concern of the three ROCs? Three Bridges (who will cover the entire core), and Derby and York?
Only as regards to actual train signalling, not NR or TOC/FOC control functions also not including ECROs.

By 2018, the intention is to have TM active for approx 20 minutes journey time from the core, plus the whole Brighton Main line. So this would be routes signalled from TBROC, TB ASC, Kings Cross PSB, West Hampstesd PSB and Victoria PSB. The route controls concerned will be in TBROC, York ROC, and Derby ROC.
York will get it's first signal panel next May.
