Promising to hear that they're still passing people's video interviews!Finally got an update from my video interview for Parkway and I passed!phew! Haha.
Awaiting a date now for assessment centre.
I received my confirmation of passing the video interview stage about October 2024!
That's crazy! Mind you, I didn't do my interview until the end of October so It's taken ages for me to get this far - 14 months so far the process... fingers crossed we will both hear something soon. Are you in for Bristol aswell?
Closing date for all vacancies: 17/03/25. Must live within 60 minutes of the depot.

Did anyone get to the end of the data checking test? Feel like I did OK but I didn't reach the last question!
Generally aptitude tests aren’t meant to be finished in full. It’s about working quickly but accurately.

Questions were also in a different order to LNER., GWR had (in my opinion), harder ones earlier., so didn’t get as far in this one..

Google maps says my journey to the station is typically 45 mins to 1 hr 5 mins, if I leave at 0800.
Will they use the 1st or 2nd time?
I have already applied for Plymouth which was in September but only completed video interview on that one.

I'm the same but with Northern. Ive applied and it says typically 40m to 1hr 15m so I'm unsure if thats acceptable or not :/

They will look at peak rush hour I think (was certainly the case for SWR. They checked I could make my shift which starts at 3pm.) I was right at the cutoff and luckily they deemed this acceptable. Other times my travel time is far below the hour limit.

it takes me 55 mins in peak rush hour my application is in. Hopefully I can get past the interview stage this time

Hi. Been invited to assessment centre on 17th April for Plymouth.
The time is 0830 - 1700. Have they changed to include all tests including MMI in one day?
When I did it 6 years ago, it was over 2 separate days.

It went well, thanks. They asked the usual interview stuff that’s already all over the forum. They’re interviewing this and next week though so it’ll be a couple of weeks before I hear anything….at the earliest.
For Worcester, there’s 3 courses this year and 3 next year. With 2 Worcester drivers on each. Next course in June/July time. They said they had 1400 applicants for Worcester which was more than Paddington! So quite a few to get through!

I did mine about a month ago just got my assessment date for an OPC, don’t sweat the video interview it’s very basic stuff, the two questions I remember were “what skills do you think would make a good train driver” and “how would you ensure you worked well alongside colleagues, trainers and managers”
Along those lines anyway … only about 5 questions total and you can record twice so you can just think about it for 2 mins then record the second time.
If anyone has any advice on the opc assessments I’d be very grateful
