Does anyone know which Class 800 was operating these diagrams yesterday (Tues 11/04/17):

5X90 0852 Doncaster Carr Iep Depot to Peterborough:
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K97239/2017/04/11/advanced
&
5X96 1334 Peterborough to Doncaster Carr Iep Depot
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K97246/2017/04/11/advanced

I passed the morning working (behind 91120) at Retford & then just after the afternoon working had finished being pushed by 91120 passed Doncaster Carr Iep Depot, but both times I could not see the numbers.

Also I was on 180112 on 0803 KGX - YRK this morning (12/04/17) and an 800 passed at Retford, was that the same one as yesterday?

Many thanks
Ian Hardy

The test track is hit n miss 800009 was out on test today for less that an hour so you just have to be lucky, fortunately I only live 5 mins from the factory. As for my profile pic it's one of mine I just uploaded it.

So the GWR set I saw at So'ton Docks would've been 800302?

Indeed, or parts of it. This means it wouldn't have been shipped in from Italy, rather more likely Japan.

Only the 802's are being produced in Italy, and this is an 800 and part of a nine car set which is being either fully or partly produced in Japan.

It's one of the 12 complete pre series sets built in Japan just needs to be commissioned at Doncaster along with the other recent arrivals there T71/801101 and T72/801102.

May I ask why the 802's and some 800/3's are being manufactured in GWR green, and why the 800/0's for the 5 car sets are in Hitachi white? Was that just part of the DfT specification?

I believe the shells for the 800/0 were built before the DFT agreed to GWR green base livery. All the shells for the first 36 sets have been at tees port for ages. I think shells for set 28 started arriving at the factory this week..

Have been looking on RTT for IEP movements over Easter, and it appears that night testing is resuming next week, operating some interesting schedules with stops and very odd places, including Maidenhead! Here are the two tests, one from Stoke Gifford to Paddington, then Paddington to Stoke Gifford:

Outward:

Inbound:
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/K06318/2017/04/18/advanced

Note: This also occurs for Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Also some North Pole Plymouth runs on Wednesday and Thursday making various stops, though the return schedules are not yet there.

Does anyone know whether there are going to be further deliveries using this method via Southampton, or is this a one-off?

Complete Pre series trains (12 due) arrive via Southampton of which 9 are here.
Shells arrive via Tees or Tyne Dock and are sent to Aycliffe as required.

Are they likely to be painted before they enter service or will they just get branding for now?
