How is Hayes and Harlington?
How is Hayes and Harlington?
Its the green machine. Just passed it outside Paddington.
Thanks for advice, hopped off at EB in case it runs early. Fast all fenced even by steps, but nice shoulder height, good for photos!
When two 800s or 801s are coupling, will it be anything like Desiros where the computers shut the intermediate cabs down once they detect that coupling has been successful?

Passing through Ealing Broadway on Monday
Yup, was quite amazing seeing it at Didcot today.

It really is a very attractive unit, isn't it? Particularly in that livery, though I think the TPE ones will look just as good.
Copped 800002 sat outside North Pole yesterday tea time. It's all over plain "off white" apart from one of the driving cars which has red "swooshes & swirls" over it.
(Maybe not the best description but hopefully you get what I mean!)
What about some nicknames for these trains?
What about No.
Love that. I agree, they don't need names just yet.
On another note, IEP testing on the GWML between Scours Lane and Didcot commences tomorrow night, brought forward from September. I noticed the up relief between Didcot and near Cholsey is still not wired, but I expect this will get done in time.

Source on testing starting tomorrow night?

Virgin have gone for Azuma and we already have Voyagers, Pendolinos etc!
What about 5 car 800's as Goochies (as named 800004 GWR loco Engineer)
Maybe 9-car 801's as Churchwardionians or Colletts and maybe the 802s for the west as Pasties!
Well, they'll gain a nickname sooner or later!

If we work back from what the GWR would have done, surely these are the "Engineer Class"?
