If you can use former stations, why not future stations?

Time for a clue I think: This town/city is between where Ivo comes from and where he lives now. He would pass through the town/city travelling home but would not pass through this station if he was travelling by train. (unless he was on some exotic track bash and ended up here)

When you [indirectly] said between Southend and Bath, I thought of Euston and guessed that this was to the side. Then I remembered that Marylebone used to have sidings before the Evergreen project (I've only ever used the Evergreen platforms at Marylebone!), and felt that it was a good call.

No a bit like having to drag an EE Type 3 to Pwllheli and back (for different reasons).
They used them before Genny vans arrived, that ETHEL ended up dumped in Kyle of Lochalsh and I have no idea why.

What about brakes as well? Surely all modern stock is AB only, or are there a couple of rakes of dual-braked around for kettles?

I'm not so short on stock that I need to choose a station I've already done twice as it is!
Although, something just occurred to me. I find it interesting how the two stations I've done more than once both begin with "B"...
(This isn't Bristol TM either, before anyone suggests as much. Even though it CLEARLY isn't.)
This is my 46th picture. Once I reach 50, I will evaluate my data again. I would like to point out that the second 25 is approaching far faster than the first, and not just because I've psoted so much! I am genuinely better at this game than I was at the start of March.
And stop talking about Kettles! Although, I did travel behind one last Sunday...

Then when they are not being used for kettle trips a couple of steaming 27s to haul then around, lovely. I am going back through my photos at present to reupload back to my hosting service and have just been through 1988 the year of the fire in the DMU depot at Ayr and the reintroduction of loco hauled trains on the Kirkcaldy - Edinburgh route with steam heat 27s and coaches.

This is not a station I have done before. There are 43 stations across England and Wales that I have done before now, two of which have appeared twice.

Great Yarmouth.
The masters (older folk) are teaching the student (Ivo) well. One day you will be a member of the station Jedi. However in order to join the hallowed order of Station Jedi you must first part with a substancial amount of folding notes almost a month wages or in your case Student Loan. These notes are to be presented to the that place of worship to the Station Jedi that is know as the Ticket Office. The joining fee is £495 and you must utter the chant of the Station Jedi. "I would like to purchase a 7 Day All Line Rover"
The prevayor of fine orange cardboard travel documents (older members have grey or purple membership cards) will then utter those words you have been waiting the hear all these "What is one of those? Never heard of that! I will have to ask someone how to issue that."
He will then call one of those wise ticket gurus from another station who has worked for the railway since 1846 who knows the secret code to type into the electronic ticketing device that will unlock the secret coding and issue the hallowed ticket. Then after at least an hour the overworked ticketing operative (3rd Class) will unlock the secret ticket code and after parting with your joining fee you will be a Station Jedi for a full 7 days freedom to explore at your will all those fine stations of the network (as long as you do not arrive or depart London before 10 am)
You will be able to collect many photos to play "Guess the station" and have more knowledge of the network than those who are not Station Jedi. You may one day decide to become a Master Station Jedi but this has a higher joining fee of £990 and you must ask at the ticket emporium for that very exclusive membership card the 14 Day First Class Rover. You will always be greeted by the same secret response from the Ticket Clerk. You must always remember those important words even as a Master you should not arrive or depart London before 10 am (Monday to Friday but not including Bank Holidays)
