Still vaguely impressed with myself though - I've never been further north than Cardigan in Wales (great name).
EDIT: Have been further north in England though - Yorkshire Dales etc. So don't say I haven't lived.

You need to get to the really hilly bit at the top (Scotland).

Used to be even better in the 80s when they had not discovered the DMU and everything was loco hauled. Not the same now but still stunning.
