Sorry jrhilton - you jumped for the wrong one out of the three you put in a single post; I did hint at 21.52 that the correct answered had been posted, but not offered... I guess you didn't see that in time?
To answer your question about Epsom, all that happened then was that the glass in the canopies was replaced. The framework is still the original 1930s stuff. And as a point of interest, the final two uprights on platform 4 at the country end still have WW2 shrapnel damage in them - as far as I know, the only remaining visible shrapnel damage on the system ( unless anyone knows otherwise? ).
