Go faster strips! As a regular user between Blackburn and Preston a long time ago I can confirm that you would get off deaf from the rattling with burnt legs from the heater. Made an interesting f***ing sound when setting off.

Still far better than current DMUs.

You need to embrace your inner Pacer lover. I [deliberately] spent the whole day on pacers on Friday and my back is none the worse for it.

You damn right I don't and I'm proud to admit it

The day a pacer comes down The Chase Line, I throw myself in front of one and give it a bad rep! ;)

So what do you think of the sort of Pacer Veg who go around deliberately riding on them?

They are either incredibly stupid or they have no life or require no use for any bodily functions

I, like a lot of people, like to live the life of luxury.

Got first class in a Pendolino and everything was silky smooth, got a ride on an EMT 158 Express Super Sprinter and everything was nice and comfortable.

I'll probably get on one of the Turbo-Sprinters tomorrow and that will be comfortable

Pacer Buses are not comfortable and and they should be given the 70012 treatment

Defending Ian...

What Pacer lover? Who in the right sense of mind would like a piece of [insert expletive here] like that?

I didn't think Pacer Wars were legal on this forum now anyway...?

Is it impossible for you people just to accept that people like different things, and everything has its merit's and place in preservation?

Probs quite easy but go for it

And my finger is now out

Banbury. Not that I've ever been there, I just know it had some new semaphores!

Anyway.... if we can get back to the thread, it's Ian Poole's go, so let's get ready for a picture from the Midlands somewhere ;)
