Given as it's going to be Driffield, try this insanely easy one. The census has no record of this ever appearing, which is something that needs sorting quickly, methinks! :D

Clagmonster's is Driffield, it seems. Compare. Now to work out where the train is going... :D
Correct. The destination does indeed end in a y, if you want to work it out rather than have me tell you then feel free.

David, your's is clearly WR and I suspect a minor station with a short platform. That immediately leads me to think either Cornwall or West Wales. Clarbeston Rd?

I would suggest Selby for the destination. But honestly, the Yorkshire Coast (or whatever we call it) services get everywhere...

As for the FGW one, I'm thinking. Specifically North Devon. :D

Selby wasn't the destination (I think it was the inital wrong guess that triggered the clue that the destination ended in y). As a hint, I was surprised that day to see that this accurate destination was programmed into the 158's digital boards.

Not Clarbeston Road for mine. I won't specifically rule in or out any regions or areas, but given that there's no double track line in north Devon, you may need to think again Oxted. :p

Is it somewhere like Filey or Ferriby for Clagmonster's destination?
Yes it is.

Ferryside for David Brown (I assume you're not the David Brown who played up front for various lower league football clubs, including the Mighty Tigers)

David: Switching ends of Devon, Torre? :D
I had wondered whether that might have been the Avocet HST, but it doesn't look like Topsham...

A lack of other inspiration: Crediton?

Nope.

I will confirm that this is a HST, and that the train has stopped at this station on a scheduled service.

OK, at this point it is customary to start giving out massive hints... :D

As I'm the only one guessing...St Budeaux Ferry Road?

Not St Budeaux. You're right with it being in Devon (unsuprisingly), and to give it away you also hit the nail on the head with the Avocet HST (which, remember, was a normal timetabled service, just with different rolling stock).

St James Park...

EDIT: Aargh. I watched Paul lurking there for a while, wondering when he was going to pounce...
