I have just read TBs article posted at 1217 today.
Just a few words about myself.
Started track bashing as a schoolboy in 1963 and during the Beeching cuts of the 1960s-1970s I was travelling to visit many branch lines before they closed. I joined British Rail and worked at various offices/ stations throughout the South London area and later my job involved attending meetings, training courses and work sites. I began to build up a detailed knowledge of many stations . Over the passage of time stations completely change, are modernised or one station looks similiar to another. Whilst I have also travelled around the country many stations stick in the mind as ones I particularly remember as waiting ages for a train and have used many isolated stations such as Dent, Dovey Junction and Berney Arms.
