I think I'm going to enjoy this thread....

Why thank you :)

Just waiting on Schnellzug now.

I guess I should say that, as with Guess the Station, I see no problem with using the same location twice in quick succession. But if a place appears too often in a short space of time (say if Worcester appears AGAIN today for instance) than I may have to make an *executive* decision

Oh, and please remember to state "Open floor" if you do not intend to claim said floor should your guess be correct.

Do you have a time period for someone to claim the floor before it's open to everyone?

Just be sensible I guess. If the forum is a hive of activity but the thread's been at a standstill for hours on end, then I guess an interim wouldn't hurt.

In this instance, I'm sure Fast Train will be along before too long.

It's your decree to make ;)

I think most if not all of us are relying on the Internet at the moment, but in time I hope that said dependency will wane.

N.B.: There was very briefly a picture here, but then I noticed Nym's post above. I'll upload it next time.

Where the Hell is that?!

Altrincham. Not a clue why, other than it being fairly close to you - but I know you know better than that!

Taking heed that 90% of my "I'm thinking of a train class" are 323s?

No, it's not Alty... And I'm providing no clues yet, if I'm asked, I now have a couple... (That in it'self should be a clue)

I think it'll be two hours rather two minutes :| Not unless someone instantly recognises it of course, which I doubt.

You where closer with alty, OK, one clue, it's within what used to be an 1hr drive from where I sit now (Bolton)... although during rush hour this would take significantly longer than it would otherwise.

Bays 408 & 409? it's a damn big Bus stn wherever it is. Looks pretty futuristic, so I'll say the new coach station in Birmingham. i haven't actually been there, mind, so I can't say if it is in fact futuristic.

I have no idea beyond the clues you have given (within an hour of Bolton; closer to Altrincham than Bradford; numbers not relating to bus bays). Lancaster, specifically Lancaster University? I'm led to believe there is an underground bus station of sorts there?

You're going in the wrong direction with Blackburn...

OK, there is one bus station in this thread of guesses, and at least one other in this thread with services to this bus station.

OK, if Blackburn is in the wrong direction from Bolton, how is Clitheroe in the right direction?

Clue #4: gnolife, you should be ashamed for not getting this

Clitheroe?

Wait, Thats Man AIrport!

Yes, it is, hence being shameful if you didn't get it, being rather local and everything!

For those who don't know the airport station, those are remote check in desks that have been provided with no baggage links to either terminal, so aren't ever really used.

This next one is NOT named as a bus station, but is still a bus interchange (so I think it counts for this thread)
It is also not my picture

Like I said, so long as it functions as a bus station - i.e. a place at which interchange is possible between a large number of different routes - it counts. Unless it just happens to a be a roundabout that is served by 20 different routes because that's just stupid

Let's see now - there is a Stagecoach Enviro400 in the background. I'm 99% certain it isn't, but for some reason I'm thinking Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge.

Wild Stab:

Stepping Hill Hospital?

The Merc Sprinter is Definately Manchester Community Transport vehicle MX06JWL that operates half hourly microrider routes, and it's a GM bus route, the square red identifier gives that away.

Not Addenbrokes Hospital or Stepping Hill. Nym has correctly identified the MCT bus though.

Not Southern Cemetery (its named as a bus station)

It is the Wythenshawe Hospital terminus.
