I've recently noticed that Transport for Wales guards have started wearing name badges. I first saw it on the Cambrian - the guard of my train was wearing a normal badge with his name on it.
Now, at Carmarthen railway station, I've just seen the guard of a train wearing a laminated badge on a lanyard, with a photo of him and presumably his name next to that (I was looking through the waiting room window). This was in addition to a body-worn camera.
Can anyone tell me why this is a thing now?
