It’s not just about how far you get down the page it’s also about how many you missed on the way as it’s a concentration test, if you get the mock test it tells you in the answers page how they work it all out.

Received email today inviting me to complete the mini-scaat. Email said expect OPC email shortly but had nothing all day. Did anyone else not receive the OPC email same day? Thanks

I received OPC email first then couple hrs later from recruitment team. I'd suggest to check junk folder or go straight into your GTR profile. If you won't receive anything until tonight try to contact them.

I did the morning so it’s going to be the first train up for me

Had an email yesterday to say I had passed the mini scaat. Email explained that they are going to cross reference the OPC database to see if I have already passed the assessment stage with another TOC to their standard. Does anyone know if GTR require any different tests compared to Southeastern. Thanks.

Has anyone attended the new assessment centre in Watford & the much shorter day?

Would love to know how they’ve condensed a full day into 2.5 hours?

Yeah I was a little surprised with the half day slots after everything I’ve read on here!

I think is because we've done SJT already and MMI is the last stage of recruitment process.

I’m attending the Watford assessment centre on 16th July in the afternoon. Likewise I was surprised it’s only half a day. I’m assuming no interviews??

From reading on here the interviews are not part of the assessment, that is the next stage I think then the medical if that’s successful

Well that was a morning not to forget, get the first train up from Sussex and changed at east Croydon for the Watford junction train which would get me in 50 mins early, standing on the platform with the train due to arrive in one minute and they cancelled it…….OF.

Bit of quick thinking got me on a TL to london bridge, change into northern line to Euston, and a delayed service to Watford got me to OPC sweating at 08:59, 5 tests done including the enhanced test.

i am told we will find out 7-10 days if I am invited back for part 2 of the tests including the mmi.

I've been practicing all of the tests. Is it just a random selection of 5 on the day? (Not asking which tests they were) just wondered why we wouldn't have to complete them all?

Cheers, From what we did it was basically test 1 and 2 but they might change them around but I don’t think so as the lady said the comptee test and MMI which is in test 3 is basically the 2nd assessment if you get through.

It’s was a challenge for sure, yes it was part of the tests we were sent to practice on, some where different as the bourden test was dots and the multi hearing test was bleeps, the practice material 100% helped as some are confusing and doing it at home gets your head round it before hand.

Watford to Clapham Southern trains still weren’t running when I left at 1645, I was very relieved I left this morning with lots of time to spare!
Yep, no surprises with the paper tests, just the surprise of no computer tests at this stage.

Basically tests 1 and 2 of the information they would of been sent.

We've had:
- Dots
- TEA-OCC (1. Tones, 2. Phone book & symbols, 3. Phone book & symbols + tones).
- Trp-1 memory test, (braking train system)
- TRP-2, dials & cables
- DFFT

If you’re going to the OPC assessment centre in Watford, there is a carpark literally right opposite (1 min walk away) it’s called Wellstones car park or good value parking. Both the same place and I paid about £7 for pretty much all day. I belive it’s about £1 an hour. If you look on Google you’ll find the postcode that will take you there.

Well my little adventure is over, had the email today saying I didn’t meet the criteria in the driver assessment, good luck to the ones who get to the next stage.
