GTR - Trainee Train Driver - Brighton (03/05/24)

Wont be any rostered as short as 5 hours, thats very unlikely, if you're spare you can normally get away 2 hours before but not many shifts left as spare now, nights im not sure how regular but probably around every 12-13 weeks or so, I think Brighton do 4 then 3 the next week.
There's no permanent swaps at TL because of the way the shifts work.
Some people are accommodated but thats rare tbh.

Good thank you. A mixture of personal and competency based questions. The interviewing managers were very friendly. Mine was confirmed for Btn not TB. Result in a week or so

Did they mention possible start date or when they are looking to take on the next cohort of trainees?

I read on here somewhere that some of the questions related to the MMI questions? Was this the case for you or were they all new questions?

There’s parking in the car park yes. But you have to pay

You don’t have to pay. Drive all the way up under the railway bridge and park right outside the main facilities building (has the big Siemens / Thameslink logo on). There’s a line of visitor spaces right outside the building. When you check in at reception just enter your vehicle reg on the screen.

I wonder if they are waiting for all DMIs to take place first. Kind of like a corporate interview where they will wait until they have seen everyone? Hopfully not, hopfully thoes of you that have already had your DMIs find out shortly.

Thanks for the update. Sorry to hear it didn't work out this time.

Looks like we have done the enhanced tests and they last 5 years. I've also read that there will likey be more opportunities next year.

I recieved my invite to complete a 'Hogan Personality Questionnaire' around the middle of September. I then recieved another email on Thursday the 26th and offered 2 DMI dates early November to select from. Hope this information is of some help.
