I applied in April 26, stage 1 was end of July and I have stage 2 mid August.
All happened pretty quick, quicker than i was expecting

Anyone lucky enough to get in is joining at the right time. Pay deal offered with Sundays in the working week is offering a 10% pay increase for this year and another 9% next

What does that mean the pay is and increments?

I am unaware of the pay they receive?

Anyone done the DFFT test before?

If so do you get to keep the information about the faults when you are checking the dials?

Or do you have to memorise it all?

I’ll try and find it or get somebody to pass it on. I left last year so am not privy to as much information these days.

Haha there’s a £ missing rather than a 6  Good spot mate.

So sorry no. Only get AR drivers. We all live very separately like it’s 2004 lol.

I got an invite to assessment centre today, Cambridge depot. I passed it about 18 months ago in Manchester when I originally applied for Cross Country but looks like I'm doing it again!

Mate I would suggest to mail them and let them know. So only the ones you have not done needs to be done on the day. Same applied to me.

Thank you, that's handy to know, I'm waiting for a start date for Norwich depot driver at the moment.

I did the dials earlier in the year, there is an information/example sheet which you get to keep while completing the answer sheet.

It is do-able but i probably found it the hardest as I had to keep re-checking my answers. You have different variables working together to lead you to the right answer, just take your time and double check each answer once you've done it.

Yeah, it's one of those that is impossible to complete, a bit like the dots. I'd assume you get marked down for incorrect answers as well. As I said, in my opinion, it's the hardest part as it's easy to make an error. That being said, just take your time and you'll be fine.

Just a heads up for anyone going for the trainee train driver roles, recent changes to GA’s recruitment process means you must now start as a depot driver and then you will be considered for a mainline role when one becomes available.

I thought this was only in place for all sites which have depot drivers but not for sites which don't I.e. Cambridge?

Great Eastern and Norwich are now depot to mainline only.
West Anglia and Liverpool Street east are still available to direct entry vacancies.
It is possible West Anglia may get depot drivers at Cambridge in the future so could all change.
