I can't believe I just finished my job! Friday is drawing closer and it's definitely like stepping into the unknown. I know i've always wanted this job but still change is quite scary.

As long as there are great people around! I can't say I liked my previous job much but I loved the people I worked with and it is sad to have said goodbye..

You won't regret Depot Driving, it can be the best job on the railway. The first year can be rough though due to the training, new colleges, and new shift pattern, but once you've passed out it suddenly gets 10x better. That's how I found it anyway.

Good luck to those setting out in their new career. You'll find the trainers a friendly bunch so there is no need to be too apprehensive.

Good luck to you all. The first hard bit is out of the way, you're in! All you need to do now is keep up the same application of effort and you will sail it. The more you put in during your training, the more you'll get out. One phrase you'll hear a lot over the next few months is "You'll be alright". Trust it. You will.

If you are not sure/don't understand something/feel you need any help - ask. You are in. The training team all know their stuff and want you to do well.

And finally, enjoy yourselves.

Be safe & successful folks!

Hi there I recently passed my assessments and structured interview with GA. I will have to wait until the next intake to get a DM interview. Does anyone know what date the next intake will be? I applied for depot driver at Colchester, Clacton, Gidea Park or Ilford. Thanks
