It could well be then; apologies for the oversight. The use of them by ScotRail has bike/luggage vans has been mooted elsewhere on the forum, but there are the WMT and Greater Anglia 153s to consider too.
The Wales & Borders franchise details have specifically stated 5 x 153s from GWR.

A quick resumé on the Sprinters:
150/0s: Both in GWR Green, and PRM-compliant. New interiors, but no USB sockets.
150/1s: Only two remain with GWR (150125, 150126) - both in FGW Plain Blue, and both are due to head north fairly soon.
150/2s: All in GWR Green with the exceptions of 150207 (in Northern Rail violet/indigo), plus 150219 & 150238, which are both in FGW Plain Blue. All are PRM-compliant (with the exceptions of 150202, 150207 & 150216: AFAIK, 150233 is the only GWR Green unit without the finalised interior & all the mod cons.
153s: All have gone to either EMT or Northern with the exceptions of 153325 (Citizens Rail), 153329 (FGW Plain Blue), 153333 (Visit South Devon), 153361 (FGW Plain Blue) and 153369 (also FGW Plain Blue). These will also leave before December.
158s: 158763, 158954, 158955, 158958, 158959 & 158960 remain in First "Local Lines" livery; all others are in GWR Green with PRM mods, new interiors, charging points etc.

Do let me know of any corrections/additions/changes.

150202 and 150216 are fully PRM compliant. 150207 from Northern is not - The 150 with green external but blue and pink interior is 150232. I believe both 150/1s left are also PRM compliant (150126 is, unsure about 125)

I might be misremembering, but I was on green 158798 earlier this month and I'm pretty sure it didn't have charging points. Would anyone be able to confirm?

It varies. Some units have them, some units don't.

158951 didn't seem to have any at my seat on Saturday the 25th.

Does anyone know when W43002 is due to leave us ? :(
I've not seen any information published recently on the handback plan - the IET introduction is well behind schedule - but 43002 is due a major E towards the end of this year. If GWR have any sense, they will off-lease it before it becomes due. Of course, there is always the possibility they will "play trains" and swap bogies with something else so it stays to the end....

LA15 has gone off lease...
So, back to two green sets (one of which appears to have been broken up given the otherwise blue rakes with one or two green coaches in I have seen). Why are they off-leasing stock that has been painted green before blue stock? The green 153s went before non-green ones as well (although in that case the issue isn't so much why they off-leased them but why they painted them green and not all in 'Casper' livery).

Which (HST) mark 3 sets have the refreshed interior (ie. not dynamic lines seat covers in standard class); is it still just the launch set (LA16?) or did all three green sets eventually get the interior changes?

Leave? The list I saw once in the dim and distant past had 43002 (and 43185) down as being retained for use on the 2+4 sets. Do you mean 'leave' as in 'revert to 43002' (without the leading W) and repainted into GWR livery? abrail, at the time of posting, also has 43002 down as 'Retain' (but 43185 is listed there as 'off-lease').

Because that is what is in the contract between Angel and GWR.

Far too much attention paid to paint.
But why was the contract written so? Was it written before the decision to rebrand as GWR? If it is something to do with exams / structural condition of the coaches then it might make sense, but wouldn't 'due a repaint' coincide with a exam anyway?

And, in the case of LA72, which (correct me if I'm wrong) went for a repaint after the first sets left for ScotRail, why was it not taken off-lease when it fell due for works (inc. repaint) rather than repainting it for what is probably not much more service with GWR.

No, he means leave as in leave ie off-lease from GWR.

Abrail is wrong. Whatever previous list you saw is wrong. AFAIAA 43002 has never been on the retain list.

Power cars that GWR are retaining are: 43004/005/016/040-042/092-094/097/098/122/153-155/158/170/186-189/192/194/198.

The GWR re-brand started in Autumn 2015. The ScotRail franchise started in April 2015 - so the contract would have been signed with Transport Scotland in late 2014, and rolling stock leases would have been put in place around the same time, which would have included identifying specific vehicles. There would have been a handback programme generated at the same time showing which vehicles/sets went off-lease when. That LA72 was due overhaul is of no concern to ScotRail - GWR have to overhaul it in accordance with the VMI. As the vehicles are on dry lease, it is down to GWR to overhaul it.

43136, LA15 and 43133 all transferred to Haymarket of all places today; are ScotRail planning to use LA15 for driver training?

As I have already posted, 150232 is the unit with the FGW internal livery. 150233 was modified at a later date and has the full GWR interior. 150232, 150219, 150238 (and 150233 for that matter) all have PIS with LED dot matrix screens installed. 150219, 150238 & 150232 all have FGW blue and pink interiors, but the externals for 150232 are in GWR green.

In fact, I make that now as every GWR operated 150 as having had the mods, except 150207 which has arrived from Northern.

Ah, ok. I read 'leave' as 'off-lease from GWR' but then checked the list I had and saw that it was down as 'retained for 2+4 sets' so thought I would ask. Thanks for the updated list; shame 43185 isn't on it given the rather apt name (also a shame that 43175 and 43003 are going/gone).

So who decided which order the sets would leave? If GWR had any say in the matter, I would have thought it would have made sense for them to release stock before it was due for an overhaul, since it would save GWR the cost of overhauling it. When the lease is over the cost of overhauling becomes the ROSCOs/ScotRail's responsibility.

Ideal candidate for the 125 group if not then? ;)
Nope. RHDAB (https://group.sciencemuseum.org.uk/about-us/railway-heritage-designation-advisory-board/) have fallen victim to paint/vinyl froth and have designated it for preservation; presumably by the NRM.
If it went to the 125 group it would still be preservation, so presumably compatible with the designation. Even if ownership did pass to the NRM, I believe it is actually the NRM who own the prototype power car currently operated by the 125 group, so there'd be nothing to stop the 125 group operating 43002. In fact; the 125 group operating 43002 (in a fictional livery which is as-is at the front but the blue & grey inversed at the rear) with the prototype power car and prototype-liveried mark 3s is exactly what I'd like to see happen (ideally with the 125 group also presevering a second set, in full Swallow livery).

Also, the designation might not really (or solely) be livery forth since 43002 is the first production power car so if you were choosing a few for preservation then it would be on the list along with the pair (I assume was a pair, rather than a light-engine or a surrogate DVT with a 91 on the other end) that hold the world diesel train speed record. Speaking of which (off-topic, sorry) I see that 91110 is STILL not on the list. Come on RHDAB, pull your finger out and ensure that Britian's fastest locomotive is preserved (it has a really nice livery too...).
