Noticed there was another Doncaster - St Philips Marsh move last night which ended up showing as cancelled by Customer (FL). Another delayed 150001 return or another Sprinter?

It was 150202 but it failed functional tests post overhaul.

Thanks. Was that there for an overhaul or another one to go green?

150001 Has it seems now been fitted with a DDA Bog. It does however, appear to have the original Ashbourne seats retained but re-trimmed in the new flack cloth. Not sure what other interior changes there have been, but you can just about see the seats on this picture from Flickr.

It was in for a C4 overhaul.
150001 is in the Wagons shops yard. Still not ready to go though.

It's looking very smart - it seems the headlights have been changed too - high intensity ones fitted. Not too impressed to see the Ashbourne seats have been retained...the 150s need a new seating design and interior rethink - much like what occured with the SWT 455s. Will be interesting what Northern do to the 150s though.

Are they getting GWR seating upholstery?

That would depend on what you mean by a 150 interior. The GWR 150/2s that will be staying put already have 2+2 interior layouts.

And the two 150/0s would seem likely to be largely confined to the Exeter and Torbay area when they move west, where a 3+2 Ashbourne layout wouldn't be the end of the world when it comes to handling high demand over the generally short journeys involved in Exeter commutes or the Torbay schools traffic

I was more referring to the 150/0s - that is an advantage though having the 3+2 for the schools and peak traffic, something that I had failed to account for. I'd just like to see the lighting and roof designs smartened up and redone - the lighing and roofing panels gives away its age. A renatus style project would be nice to see considering the 150s have a life past 2020. Anyway, it'll be interesting to see what GWR have done to the interior, aside from the seating.

Page 12 of the recent Rolling Stock document illustrates what I mean, as it depicts a CGI model of a possible Class 150 interior design:

Don't hesitate to add in any further changes; I'm sure there's a few I've missed!

Possibly worth including the new interior in 166205?

Just to be pedantic/accurate, 166217 is in service in plain green (i.e. with no detailing - diagonal stripe, etc. Is this too transitory to include (assuming it will be corrected)?

I'd consider it so, yes. It's bound to have it applied sooner or later.

Interesting that GWR have gone for the maximum yellow frontage possible, despite the trend away from this.

I think that's because the 158s don't have headlights as powerful as some of the newer stock; the 800s, say, may get away without a yellow front because they have modern, state-of-the-art headlamps and a toplight too (which I believe was a prerequisite for a yellow panel removal), which the 158s don't have.

Thanks for sharing all this, good to know that we'll be seeing an IC Swallow power car again. Do you know which way the Kilmarnock will be running (via Shrewsbury or Birmingham).

Cheers.
