There's also a GWR 158 going around with one of the fold down vestibule seats in Northern Rail livery!

57604 heading back from repaint ready for SPM open day. 57 repaint cycle now complete.

604 in traditional GWR !

Sure about that? Sure I saw it yesterday sat on the Oak still in Brunswick green, though I was hurtling along so could of been mistaken....:|

I'm posting this here as the more suitable thread is temporarily locked. (Plymouth Collision)

52219 now at Brodies in Kilmarnock for crash repairs. 57219 at SPM receiving new engine and transmission plus underframe and bogie repairs. Once done it will be coupled to 150238 and the formation numbered 150938.
Not with a 153 this time but another 3 Car 150 won't go amiss.

I travelled on a green (inside and out) HST to Devon today. Although the interior colour scheme works, it doesn't take account of being used and abused every day.

The grey doesn't work as the primary seat colour - several seats around me didn't look too good due to brown staining, presumably coffees going overboard (I hope!).

Don't suppose anyone has an update on when 150001 will be complete at Doncaster? Last time I saw, it was painted. However I understand it was undergoing an overhaul too, but can't be too much longer I suspect?

Don't hold your breath on that one!!

The return date keeps slipping and slipping.

I'm led to believe that as part of the overhaul 001 has had long range fuel tanks fitted as per 150002.

Haha - cheers for the update. Must be being a pain. Sounds like could be summer before its return them, if GWR are lucky! Glad to hear they're fitting the long range fuel tanks to it to prepare for its work from Exeter.

166217 was looking very shiny parked in a siding at the west end of Reading depot this afternoon. Still needs the GWR vinyl bits adding on top of the paintwork before going back into service.

I heard from a friend that the 158 is coming along well, any ideas on when it will be returning to service, and what the refurbishment will entail? There better not be any ironing boards involved!

I want to know what they're doing to the refreshed 150s  - 150232 was locked out of use on a commuter service this morning due to an 'electrical problem'... Apparently the doors wouldn't release!

Possible bad news for you then. I was told at SPM that it's return to traffic is delayed due to it awaiting new seats! Fingers crossed for the same Grammer seats as per HSTs - Creating a ATW/ScotRail style refurbishment!
