The Sleeper Mk. 3s came back with the FGW interior, so I'd imagine the same here. I am curious as to what the GWR seat moquette will be.

That's a very drab livery to be applying to "tiddly" commuter trains; they often benefit from a bit of brightening up. I never liked BRs' Brunswick green livery and thought it did nought to promote the appearance of the new fangled diesel multiple units that they should have been promoting at the time, so I don't think that something so similar does any further favours to our modern stock.

Though that still makes it better (IMO) than "Dynamic Lines"!

Is that not just a rumour based off GNER's? All the images I've seen have just shown a white logo.

I believe that it was reported in a recent RAIL Magazine article promoting the new corporate image, though IIRC primarily with regard to its' application to the IEP trainsets. They would be produced in aluminium.

Note of course that the "GNER" insignia was only ever stick-on decals, it was the "Route of the Flying Scotsman" emblems applied mid-bodyside on the carriages of the HST and (small number of) 225 Pullman sets that were cast metal pieces.

I totally disagree - While 'Bright' liveries might look fine fresh out of the paint shop they really really suffer after one winter, whereas darker liveries (eg GNER Blue, BR Green) look fine as they age.

I'm holding my judgement about this one though - I think the silver decals, and the possible silver horizontal stripe below the windows (which don't seem to have been applied yet) will look great. Not sure about the Silver doors or the angled matt stripe yet.

While I will miss Dynamic Lines, which I think is a very nice livery, that does look quite nice. Look forward to seeing it with branding. Though I think the diagonal stripes would look better if there was only one per vehicle rather than two, it's a minor point.

I have always liked dark green liveries and I find this hugely better than the existing FGW livery. Wouldn't have chosen the diagonal stripes but they are a small price to pay for the green. I hope it's part of a trend towards less flashy schemes.

The ladder design in the second video is very cool. Interesting they're going for a purple "GWR Night Riveria" brand for the interior - think that could have gone on the outside too.

The inside looks ok but that livery is just dreadful, its an old colour which is trying to be turned into a modern colour scheme on relatively modern trains and it just doesn't work.

As I feared, the yellow panel had been applied in the same poorly thought-out style as on the blue FGW Turbos. As well as being unnecessarily large, the fact it covers the cab air conditioning module means that it looks lop-sided when viewed from any angle other than exactly head on.

I see 57605 has also returned as well from it's double visits to RVELs paintshops. Now all it needs is the gold band to be applied. Oh, wrong era...

I think that one looks a little too dark compared to the unit and coaches also in the livery...

Unless you see it attached to the coaches or next to the unit, it's REALLY hard to compare shades between different photos. Lighting, lenses, processing all distort colour

Yes - the yellow should have stopped at the base of the front panel and below should have been green or black.

I like it. I think it's different compared to the all over blue of FGW but maybe it will grow on me. At least it's not white that's all I'll say

HST.

Springburn Works are doing the Night Riviera Sleepers, Kilmarnock the HSTs. Also too many TS Mk3s to be NR vehicles. The Third Vehicle to the right is also a TS-D.

Personally I don't mind the colours - they look quite smart compared to the blue and pink! However, and I'm not entirely shocked as it is First we're talking about here, there seems to be no consistency in the application at all.

The Mk3 sleepers have the matt stripe on the left, and even then, looking at photos the position is still not identical on the coaches already done. The 166 that has just returned has stripes at both ends and now these apparent HST trailers have them on the right!

It didn't last long on the Henley branch - Realtimetrains suggests that it worked until lunchtime and then was swapped with another unit.

However, I saw it again on the back of 1P77 1826 Worcester Foregate Street to London Paddington.

This morning, I saw it again on 1V38 0758 Gatwick Airport to Reading so it should spend all day on the North Downs Line if it isn't swapped off.

Yes, passed it at Betchworth this morning - it formed the 0758 Gatwick to Reading. I assume the horrible pink interior has not changed? When I was young I used to see the SR SUBs and EPBs from my window and the transition from BR green to blue - now we have the reverse process underway!
