Or even GBR East Coast. But that would probably be too sensible, despite being two syllables shorter.
Doesn’t even need the GBR prefix, the double arrow is designed to serve that purpose surely so the rail symbol followed by Intercity East Coast, Intercity LNER, Intercity London & North Eastern or even just LNER would be sufficient.

Apologies I’m probably butchering the double arrow use here and wrong typeface but you get the idea.

I not totally convinced of the need for gradual change given the number of rebranding exercises the East Coast has swiftly gone through in recent history and people coped.

My comment was on the basis that it's been reported that the LNER name is staying.
I'm sure that is only until GBR is actually formed and or LNER is folded into its specific region. See also GBR - Avanti until it is taken back (that's if they actually manage the rebrand shown in the images upthread before hand...)

I meant that as we have Great British Railways / Southern, Great British Railways / Chiltern etc it'll be Great British Railways / LNER on the side of trains. That's what's been reported anyway (I've read it but no, I can't remember where). I doubt we'll have too long to wait to see if that's the case.

Obviously once GBR is formed and has its Chair and CEO it can go off and call itself whatever it likes, but that's another topic in itself.
