The Berlin U-Bahn has a variety of old traditions, stations and stock. Pre-1989 stock from both sides of the wall is still around, the East trains with their very rectangular profile and spartan interiors. Some of the stations, such as Gleisdreieck (next to the transport museum) still are much as built.

To be pedantic, Gleisdreieck is pretty much as rebuilt*.

U1,2,3,4 trains are narrow, other U-Bahn trains are wider
Stadler is building a factory in Pankow to produce up to 1500 new U-Bahn carriages

@TRAX
Thanks for the correction
A new building (24 000 m2) is being built near the existing factory
The new trains shall have priority seats for small and large travellers
The average age of BVG train vehicles is now 28 years, some are over 50

Potsdam, near Berlin, had some old trams when I was there. I'm not a rolling stock expert so can't give dates or type of vehicle.

The Tatra KT4 units. They are scheduled to be all withdrawn in 2022.
