From the start of each tunnel until the tunnels at the other end of the station its all 10MPH

There is no 5MPH section at New Street at all.

on the platform roads it is 5mph AFAIK
Whatever the speed limit at New Street is, it's far too slow for efficient and reliable operation IMO. :roll:

I mean...Give a train a clear path through the station and sound a through train warning on the relevant platform, and ye could safely run a train through New Street at 30mph or more. Personally, I wouldn't be nervous in the slightest about running a Pendo through there around 90mph at any rate! 8)
