Circular was actually a bit closer, so I'd better give it to you

Naarden is one of the best preserved medieval star forts left in northern Europe and is fortified with moats and walls in a very distinctive star shape.

Quite remarkable when viewed in plan, from above.

It's a really lovely and fascinating place, well worth a visit. It shares a railway station with nearby Bussum which is at the top of the picture.

Over to you to plan out the next question......!

Thanks very much! There are similar star fort towns in France and Italy too.

Next up - on a slightly similar theme - what is unusual (there are several things) about Castel del Monte in Puglia, South-East Italy?

It is shaped to say the words ‘He say Yes’.

Is it built in the shape of a hexagon?
No....because
Ah.... @MotCO has prompted me......
Is this the famous one with the octagonal towers?
Is correct. The whole thing is designed with a mathematical obsession with the number 8. It has eight sides, 8 octagonal towers, an octagonal courtyard and each of the two stories has 8 windows. The strange thing is that nobody knows why it was built or by whom. It has never been used in anger, either besieged or defended. A medieval enigma! Over to you.

Ahhh.....I have seen this building in books, and it is on my bucket list of European buildings to see! (Yes, I have such a list!)
It looks fascinating, and the mystery behind why it was built and what it was for just adds to the appeal!

In which European country would you find the national park containing the karst landscape and waterfalls and pools pictured here?

If I may

When Cristiano Ronaldo first signed for Manchester United he was presented to the press alongside another player who had signed the same day. The other player was regarded by many at the time as a more exciting signing. Who was he?
