I was 15 years old and the year was 1972 and the Band was America and the song was……..

Ventura Highway (not of course a horse with no name)
Correct, your turn...
I’ve been through the desert on a horse with no name
I hope it wasn't a chestnut mare, there's something weird and creepy about that song.
I'm going to catch that horse if I can
And when I do I'll give her my brand
And we'll be friends for life
She'll be just like a wife
..like a wife!?

If the words of one verse of a song are:

Ezechelis porta, clausa per transitor, unde lux ex orta salus invenitor

What is the chorus ( Band is Steeleye Span) ?

Whist still borderline on topic, Maddy Prior gave a strong vocal rendition of the four-line stanzas.

In my opinion, one of the best and most haunting female voices of all time.
You'll probably like this as well.

Correct your turn

more fully Gaudete, Gaudete Christus est natus ex Maria , virginae Gaudete
Thank you.

Next question:

Coventry Climax engines became famous for powering many successful racing cars. What was the engine's original application?

Kaiser Bill’s Batman.

Correct. He was the name given to the whistler of ’I was Kaiser Bill’s Batman’, which got to number 5 in 1967. The whistler was actually session musician (session whistler?) John O’Neill, but on TV and on tour the whistling was mimed by actor Coby Wells.

To you to whistle up a question.
