Thinking of the time when a monarch was so pleased with the beef served at a meal that he gave it the title of Sir Loin, so would it have anything to do with the host who carved the beef at that meal?
Good enough.

His title is Grand Carver of England.

He carves roasts at official Royal functions.

It is actually an inherited title, implying that the ability to carve joints of meat has a genetic component :smile:
