Cant remember the planes- want to say B29s but I don't think they were. I know there is one preserved a the National museum of the Airforce at Wright-Patt in Dayton OH.

They flew B-17s out of Thorpe Abbotts In Norfolk. The 100th Bomb Group were part of the USAAF 8th Air Force - so never under Harris’s command. They suffered very high losses so hence the nickname of The Bloody Hundredth. The present day 100th Air Refuelling Wing based at RAF Mildenhall can trace their heritage back to the 100th BG so have adopted the name The Bloody Hundredth as a matter of pride. I would have accepted the 100th ARW as an acceptable answer.

Maddie Prior I think was one but I can't think of the other. Sandy Denny was another great singer of that era but she was Fairport Covention and Fotheringay so pretty sure she didn't sing with Steeleye Span. How about Linda Thompson?

My age of 79 and having been a folk singer can be useful at times, but I have a feeling that Gay Woods was one of the original members of Steeleye Span.

I think their version of "Gaudete" was excellant.
