Back to airports. Most people know JFK is JFK in Queens NY renamed in December 1963 after the tragic death of the president. What was the name of the airport before it became JFK?

I believe NYIA was the official name but Idlewild was the "local" name.
I'd prefer to avoid risk of any ill-feeling coming about: will "stand down" here -- "whoever", go ahead ...

Idlewild was the answer I was looking for. Pilots used that name. As the question setter I award to Calthrop.

This was part of the press release issued by the Airport to celebrate 50 years of renaming in December 2013.
In Dec. 24, 1963, U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy and Jean Kennedy Smith honored the memory of their brother, President Kennedy, during a ceremony at the old International Arrivals Building to mark the renaming of New York International Airport (more commonly known as Idlewild Airport) to John F. Kennedy International Airport.
So both answers are correct.

Telamon is the Roman name for an architectural support that’s sculpted to look (generally) like a person. Is one of the other two the Greek equivalent? No idea where the third might be from
