What was the first mass produced petrol injection car in the UK (at least according to the sales literature of the company concerned)?

Not an Alvis. The company was primarily known for its sports cars and motorcycles. The name was acquired by a motorcycle firm which trades today

Right manufacturer, but the Stag was released in 1970, and a commercial disaster for Triumph Motors, now part of British Leyland. Nice car, but awful engine, with the Rover V8 already established. One feature is that instead of injection, carburettors were used to meet US emission standards.

Oh so close. I'll give it to you because it was the TR5, then Triumph had the idea of inserting the engine into its 2L car range.
Edit - I mean the Triumph 2000, saloon or estate introduced in 1963. The first 2.5 injection was introduced in 1969, just before the takeover by British Leyland
