As this has been going a while here's the answer.
BBC One had space hoppers themed as Christmas puddings and one of the children fell off one as seen in the video attached. Look on the right hand side towards the end.
As nobody got it - its a happy new year's open floor.

Was he the pilot who fired his guns and somehow managed to end up shooting him self down? IIRC he over took the shells in a steep dive and when he pulled out he flew into the stream.
