Thank you.

Here are six rugby autobiographies; can you name the authors, please?
"The Voice of Rugby"
"Full Time"
"Lucky"
"Unforgettable"
"Loose Head"
"Rise"

(They are / were all players, although they may have had ghost writers or contributors; please give me the name of the players)

Until I read the first line again and realised that it included the word ‘rugby’, I though that it was just general autobiographies and that Lucky might be Kylie Minogue. Of course, she never played rugby, just Australian Rules Football.

Eddie Waring - Voice of Rugby?
Jonny Wilkinson - Unforgettable?
Billy Beaumont - Full Time?

Not many guesses on this one, so here's a few clues:

"The Voice of Rugby" - Bill McLaren
"Full Time" - By a former English Prop, later RFU & Lions President
"Lucky" - By a former No. 8 whose career was cut short by injury
"Unforgettable"-
By a former England and Lions Hooker who is suffering from the effects of rugby injuries
"Loose Head" -
By another (but still current) English Prop
"Rise" -
By someone who achieved a very significant position in 2018.

Best of luck!

Jason Leonard?
That's him - well done!

Some final clues to the others:

Lucky" - By a former No. 8 whose career was cut short by injury - he played for Wasps and Newport Gwent Dragons, but his injury was not rugby related.
"Unforgettable"- By a former England and Lions Hooker who is suffering from the effects of rugby injuries - sadly, he's unable to remember what should be his finest time on the rugby field.
"Loose Head" - By another (but still current) English Prop - is he Alun Wyn Jones's friend?
"Rise" - By someone who achieved a very significant position in 2018 - no-one had done (or was likely to do) what he did before 2018.

I'll give the answers tomorrow if there's no more correct answers.

Okay, here are the three unknown authors:
Lucky" - By a former No. 8 whose career was cut short by injury - he played for Wasps and Newport Gwent Dragons, but his injury was not rugby related.
This is Ed Jackson - not a well known player, but his is an inspiring story of how he recovered from spinal injuries.
"Loose Head" - By another (but still current) English Prop - is he Alun Wyn Jones's friend?
This is Joe Marler ... infamous for getting up close and personal with AWJ a few years ago!
"Rise" - By someone who achieved a very significant position in 2018 - no-one had done (or was likely to do) what he did before 2018.
This is Siya Kolisi, the South African Captain ... the significance of that is that he is the first coloured player to be appointed to that post.

So, xotGD got one right, but the winner is Stevem70 with two ... well done, and it's your turn to visit the bookshop!
