The Wobbe Number is a measure of the combustion properties of natural gas. So I will say someone in the gas industry.

I wont reply as I have used one in a physics lab many years ago and thus have an unfair advantage. I am "Oscillating" between giving or not giving a clue but it aint my question so it would be unfair to DaleCooper.

Useless piece of information to follow on but here -- RI No40 pg1 (northerncountiestransportsociety.com) I am in the picture it was a NCTS trip to the South of England. We were on the ferry to see the shunter 05001 on the Isle of White. Another spotter in this picture was studying (and became) to be a communications expert in the merchant navy. He knew all about oscilloscopes etc and MOSFETs etc. So we did train spotting and discussed mad stuff like wobbulators, oscilloscopes, MOSFETs and LOCOMOTIVES!!
I've heard about them in my Ham radio studies (I'm only a mere M7!)
