Something to do with the number 6? Chromium, for example, when in a +6 oxidation state is described as being sesquivalent. Triskaidekaphobia is a fear of the number 13, so is Hippo........ a fear of the number 6?

Correct. Google does not seem to give its scientific-Latin name; but it it obtains in North America, and is of the blenny family. This creature has a large mouth and aggressive territorial behaviour -- hence the name (the just-cited, could describe various people whom I have known).
