Correct answer. Vittorio Pozzo was manager of World Cup winners Italy in 1934 and 1938 and consequently received a winners' medal on both occasions.

I have read the article but I have my doubts as to whether Pepe actually received winners' medals. You'd think he would have posed with them (unless he'd sold them?). Remember the kerfuffle with England's '66 squad as to who received a medal? That was only resolved some 40 years later with political intervention. I am open to correction - but I am under the distinct impression that even to this day, only those players who actually play in the Final (plus the Manager) receives a winners' medals?

Think these days, the entire squad receive a medal.

Doubt this would have been the case in 1958 and 1962 for Pepe (a.k.a. José Macia), though.

The England (non) players did receive Medals in 2007. The article also mentions Pele got a 3rd medal. As Pepe was (and still is) alive I suspect he got two.

Point is that Pele actually played in the 1958, 1962 (and 1970) World Cup finals. Pepe didn't, due to injury.

Several England players didn't play in the 1966 finals. They all got medals.

After the event, though. Probably around the late 2000's. Concur that Pepe and all other still living members of FIFA World Cup winners squads from 1930 to 1974 should also have received gold medals at or around this time. Including Pele, who played in the 1962 tournament, but not the final itself. Believe over 100 such medals were issued.
