Detective Constable Reid was in "Taggart" ... she was the longest serving DC in the history of televised police drama as everyone else seemsed to be promoted except her! She did eventually get to Detective Sergeant, but not, I think, any further!

Well, I never knew that - but it's probably because I wasn't watching it regularly by then. I've just asked Mr W Pedia, and he tells me that she spoke the very last words ... "D I Reid" in the last episode! Thanks.
