How about Boudicca for one and the wonderful Julie Andrews as the other hopefully ?
We've had Boudicca upthread already.

Great casting though if Julie Andrews has ever portrayed the Queen of the Iceni during her long career! ;)

I'm going with Marie Stopes who has been in the news today because the organisation named after her has been rebranded due to her links with eugenics.

Spot on. That’s all 13 of them

Their positions were:

3 Diana (why?!?!)
7 Elizabeth I
16 Thatcher
18 Victoria
24 Elizabeth II
27 Pankhurst
35 Boudica
52 Nightingale
59 Andrews
61 QEtQM
70 Austen
83 Rowling
100 Stopes

@Mcr Warrior and @MotCO share the gold medal with four each. Please decide between you who’s next

What British island has the largest population?

To define this: the mainland of England, Scotland and Wales is excluded, as is Ireland and all its outlying islands. Also excluded are the various locations that still call themselves islands, but aren’t: Ely, Thanet, etc.

Portsea Island but I’m not sure if that falls into your latter category. Somewhere in the region of 170,000, essentially the city of Portsmouth plus a bit extra.

Portsea Island is correct. It is surrounded by water, or at least water and mud, so fits the technical description of an island.

Your turn to sail the waves.

Ship ahoy, Cap’n but as I don’t have a ready-made question of sufficient severity may I offer an open floor.

I wondered if she had been acting president for a short period after someone resigned

May I set the next question please?
I was about to say that on reflection as I asked the question wrongly it would only be fair that your goodself or Gloster ask the next question - her term of office actually lasted 3 years 2010-13

My sad life dealing with GS1 and barcoding.......I may be barking up totally the wrong tree here, but 978 is one of the two three digit prefixes issued by GS1 for the numbering of books with the ISBN convention
