Which reminds me, how come Glamorgan CCC sometimes play their home games at Colwyn Bay?
Because Glamorgan represent the whole of Wales in cricketing terms.

They've played at a lot of grounds outside the conventional counties of Glamorgan (i.e. South, West and Mid) over the years - Newport, Ebbw Vale and Abergavenny - the old county of Gwent; Llanelli (Carmarthenshire) being a few. There's also at least one in Pembrokeshire, although I can't remember the name for now.

Is it? Thought it was Cumbria these days. Certainly not traditional Lancashire, though. Suppose you could call it missionary work! ;)

Sedbergh is definitely in Cumbria now

In the old days (3 day county championship games and more fixtures per season) loads if not all counties used to have games at what they called outgrounds - basically club grounds used by the county in order to spread games around and enable county members who didn’t live near the county ground to get to see their team more easily.

Nowadays there’s a lot less, and quite a bit of what’s left is one day games, or the test ground counties needing to shift games. But Yorkshire still use North Marine Road in Scarbados a bit, as you say Glamorgan go to Colwyn Bay. My team Leicestershire used Oakham School for first class games until the 2000s and I saw them play a first class match at Hinckley when I was little

I missed that - not the one I was looking for; it seems like a stumping

Your ball

i was looking for Abbeydale Park - used by Yorkshire after Bramall Lane was redeveloped for only football, and previously by Derbyshire, although actually after the County Boundaries were redrawn to include it in Yorkshire

4 / Hastings - that would be Poirot.

10 / Tennison - will be Prime Suspect.

...and that's about the only two I can get.
