Cagney and Lacey was set in New York City so I doubt that is correct. Murder she wrote is set in Maine so I reckon 341o2 is correct.

OK, staying with US law enforcement, there is a practice which might be considered to be a police matter but in fact is based on civil law. Seen by some as a way of making money, but not without danger.

Yes, 444045, you are right. Colt Severs is a stuntman, but also works as a bounty hunter because he can't get enough stunt work. His nephew Howie Munson wants to be his manager, while he (Colt) trains Jody Banks to be a stuntwoman.

The only non Harry Potter book I recall she wrote was A Casual Vacancy (which I thought was rubbish ) and that was under a male pseudoynm, but I can't remember what it was.

I think even with a clue I would have no idea in this one but I would imagine it would be a relatively unknown singer no offense meant. I mean it is highly unlikely to be Lily Allen or Adele for example.
